40th Birthday

On March 11th I had my 40th birthday. How time flies. It wasn't all that great. My worst was 19. I had school since I had to take a 5th year to graduate and deliver my brother's papers for him since he was on the basketball team at the time just so he wouldn't have to come home and deliver them himself. He had mom delivering them for him all the time because she didn't have the guts to tell him to come home and do them himself until a few months later and then he just quit both basketball and his paper route when she wouldn't deliver for him anymore. Anyway, that's why 19 was my worst because all of a sudden mom couldn't deliver the papers and couldn't afford a pizza. Now 40 has been my worst. I tried to book it off but the manager wanted deliveries done and was away in Niagara Falls for a company convention all week. She didn't want us to do deliveries on Thursday of that week and unload the truck on Tuesday of that week because she figured the manager in training couldn't handle

My grandmother passed away today. Her name was Peggy Palmer nee' Hay. She was 88. At least she lived a long life and got to see her 7 kids, grandkids and even some of her great grandkids grow up. She's going to be cremated in a few days and her ashes will be spread in Tantallon, Saskatchewan next spring. May she rest in peace. Here's a photo I took of her when I was 12 back in 1995. Those are my brothers Ray and Ben with her.
